In the beautiful Apokoronas region of Crete (near Chania), lies the small village of Sellia, known for its natural beauty. At an altitude of 400m, surrounded by a spectacular forest, you will find a beautifully restored traditional 18th century home. Using strictly traditional materials such as stone and wood, we have created 4 apartments, leaving unchanged all the traditional details and character of the old homestead.
Within the home, you will enjoy the Cretan hospitality of the Sapounakis family and have the opportunity to taste the unique wines produced by the family for generations, from its own vineyards.
The traditional home is open 12 months of the year and visitors can easily visit Chania (only 30km away), Rethymnon (25km), the famous beach of Georgioupoli (6 km), the beach of Almyrida (9 km), the historical village Vamos (6 km), the nature reserve of Lake Kourna - Crete's only Lake (8km), and many other sites in the area, which is known for its originality and beauty.
In the months of September and October you can participate if you wish, to the harvesting, wine making and raki making with our family, learn how we produce our products and taste our products.
